How to use FleetBuzz

A complete walkthrough — from creating your account to sending your first campaign and integrating the API. If anything here doesn't match what you see, contact support.

1. Getting Started

Creating a FleetBuzz account takes three steps:

1
Verify your mobile. Enter your number and we send a 6-digit OTP by SMS. The code expires in 10 minutes; you can request a new one after 60 seconds.
2
Choose an account type. Personal (individual sender) or Business (company/organisation).
3
Complete KYC. Provide your details and upload the required document(s). Business accounts also add an authorised person and the SMS purposes you plan to use.

What you need

PersonalFull name, date of birth, NID/Passport number & copy, address, email
BusinessBusiness name & type, trade licence no. & copy, TIN/BIN (optional), business address, official email, plus authorised person details & their NID/Passport copy
While KYC is pending: you can log in, add contacts, buy credits and set everything up — but sending SMS is disabled until our team approves your account. You'll see a banner at the top of your dashboard showing the current status, and any message from our reviewers.

Your documents are stored securely and used only for verification.

2. Buying & Understanding Credits

Every SMS you send costs credits. Buy them from Buy Credits in the sidebar.

Payment methods

  • bKash — instant. You're redirected to bKash, and once payment succeeds your credits are added automatically.
  • Bank transfer — transfer to the listed account, then submit the reference and upload your deposit slip. Credits are added after an admin approves it (check Payments for status).

How many credits does a message cost?

English (Text)160 characters = 1 credit. Longer messages split into parts of 153 characters each.
Bangla (Unicode)70 characters = 1 credit. Longer messages split into parts of 67 characters each.

Credits are charged per recipient. A 2-part message to 100 people costs 200 credits.

The campaign screen shows a live credit estimate — characters, SMS parts, recipients and total credits — before you send, so there are no surprises.

3. Phone Book (Contacts)

Organise recipients into groups under Phone Book, then target whole groups when sending.

  1. Create a group (e.g. "VIP Customers").
  2. Add numbers manually, or import a CSV/Excel file.

Number format

Use the Bangladesh format 01XXXXXXXXX (11 digits starting with 01). Numbers written as 8801… are converted automatically. Invalid numbers are skipped and reported.

Import file format

A simple sheet with a phone column, and optionally a name column (the name enables personalisation — see section 6):

phonename
01711111111Karim
01822222222Rahim
Duplicates are removed automatically — both during import and again when a campaign is built, so nobody gets the same message twice (and you're not charged twice).

4. SMS Templates

Save messages you send often — order confirmations, OTP wording, promotions — under Templates.

  • Give the template a name, pick the message type, and write the body.
  • When creating a campaign, choose it from “Load from Template” and the message and type fill in automatically.
  • Templates can include the {name} placeholder for personalisation.

5. Sending a Campaign

1
Go to Campaigns → Create and name your campaign (for your own reference).
2
Pick the message type: English (Text), বাংলা (Unicode), or Flash (shows directly on screen).
3
Write the message, or load a template.
4
Choose recipients — tick contact groups and/or paste additional numbers.
5
Choose Send now or Schedule for later (pick a date & time — all times are Bangladesh time, GMT+6).
6
Review the credit estimate and submit.

Scheduled campaigns

Credits are reserved when you schedule, and the campaign sends automatically at the chosen time. Before it fires you can:

  • Send Now — send immediately instead of waiting.
  • Cancel & Refund — cancel it and get the reserved credits back.

Campaign statuses

ScheduledWaiting for its send time
ProcessingCurrently being sent
SentAll messages submitted successfully
Partially sentSome succeeded, some failed
FailedNone could be sent

6. Personalised SMS

Insert each contact's name into the message with the {name} placeholder:

Dear {name}, your order has been shipped. Thank you for shopping with us.

Karim receives “Dear Karim, your order has been shipped…” and Rahim receives his own name.

  • The name comes from your Phone Book, so make sure contacts have names (include a name column when importing).
  • If a contact has no name, it falls back to “Customer”.
  • Personalised campaigns are sent individually per recipient, so they can take slightly longer than an identical bulk message.

7. Delivery Reports

Open a campaign and click Delivery Report to see every recipient and its status.

PendingQueued, not yet submitted
SentAccepted by the operator for delivery
DeliveredConfirmed delivered to the handset
UndeliveredOperator could not deliver (phone off, invalid number, etc.)
FailedRejected at submission
Sent is not the same as Delivered. “Sent” means the operator accepted the message; “Delivered” is confirmed handset delivery. Use Sync Delivery Status to fetch the latest results.

Reports can be exported as CSV or Excel (.xlsx) for your own records.

8. Developer API

Send SMS straight from your website, app, ERP, POS or e-commerce store. Everything lives under Developer → API & Docs.

  • API key — copy it from that page. Send it as Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY. Keep it secret; regenerate it any time (the old key stops working immediately).
  • Base URL — https://fleetbuzz.net/api/v1
  • What you can do — send SMS, create campaigns, manage contact groups, send & verify OTPs, check your balance, and pull delivery reports.
  • Webhooks — set a callback URL and we'll POST delivery results to you. Each request is signed so you can verify it came from us.
  • Usage — the same page shows your API call counts and recent requests.

Open API & Docs Interactive API Explorer

9. Account & Security

  • Activity — see your recent logins, campaigns, templates, payments and API-key changes, with time and IP.
  • Profile — update your details and change your password.
  • Forgot password? Use the “Forgot your password?” link on the login page.
  • Never share your password or API key. If you suspect either is exposed, change the password and regenerate the key straight away.

10. Rules & Compliance

FleetBuzz sends over authorised Grameenphone routes and follows BTRC regulations. To keep the network safe:

  • Only message people who agreed to hear from you. Unsolicited/spam SMS is prohibited.
  • Send what you declared. Use the account for the SMS purposes you stated during KYC.
  • No prohibited content — fraud, scams, lotteries, misleading offers or illegal material. Messages containing blocked words are automatically rejected.
  • Fair use — a daily sending limit may apply to your account. If you hit it, you'll see how many messages you can still send in the next 24 hours.
  • Include a way to identify your business, and honour opt-out requests.
Breaking these rules can lead to KYC being revoked, sending disabled, or the account being suspended.

11. Troubleshooting / FAQ

“Sending is disabled — pending KYC verification”

Your account hasn't been approved yet. Everything else works; sending unlocks once our team verifies your KYC. If the status says Verification Required, check the message from our team on your dashboard — it tells you exactly what to provide.

“Insufficient credits”

Your campaign needs more credits than you have. Buy more under Buy Credits, or reduce recipients / shorten the message.

“No valid recipients found”

None of the numbers were valid Bangladesh mobile numbers. They must look like 01XXXXXXXXX.

I didn't get my OTP

Wait a few moments, check the number is correct and has signal, then use Resend code (available after 60 seconds). You can also go back and enter a different number.

My scheduled campaign didn't send

Scheduled campaigns fire within about a minute of the chosen time. If it still shows Scheduled, check the time was in the future when you set it (times are Bangladesh time) and that your KYC is approved.

Messages show “Sent” but not “Delivered”

That's normal — the operator accepted them and delivery confirmation follows shortly. Click Sync Delivery Status to refresh. Phones that are off or out of coverage may take longer or return Undelivered.

My message used more credits than expected

Check the message type. Bangla (Unicode) fits only 70 characters per credit versus 160 for English, and emojis or special characters can switch a message to Unicode.
